MUNICH

Munich, finally watched the last show played in bangalore, after postponing it for more than a month, was really in awe of it. To know that the movie's inspired by real events made the watching all the more absorbing.

the pace started off in the very first minutes of the movie, and the tempo was rythmic taking you to various levels of cinematic satisfation.be it the dialouges that were sharp, or setting the mood right for the action to explode , or the minute details left unoticed, be it the muscial score that seemed intertwined with the pace, or the moving pictures captured at all the right angles, or the sleek editing which made one feel that the present frame had borrowed somethin from the previous one or the feeling one gets if it was a picture shot in the 70s that was being rerun at the theatre. Only to know it was filmed in 2005.(not exaggerating but thats how one would feel) Thats the impression it left in me.

Sensible cinema. Watch it.

Haven seen any movie with this much violence. it was violence to the core.
but the director has matured over his past movies in the way hez handled the entire project.
but a gripping movie which wud not not bore , but for the last few minutes.

the movie should only be talked for Kajol's comeback and Ravi.K.Chandran's cinematography else its a total letdown

36 China Town

china town,nonsense fun thoroughly enjoyable. it becomes inevident not to compare with the
director's earlier thrillers. on that view, the suspense for the climax offered could have been more thoughtful.

definitely old wine in a new bottle.

hmm, Really dont know why i wanted to watch this movie but i did.

the movie was not appealing enough but for the female lead who looked gorgeous and the really good songs , els it is just another average thriller hindi movie

emraan haz no substance in him but to kiss de gal yet again, thankfully the other two actors in the film showed some potential.

ice age 2 - the meltdown

the sequel to ice age where the beings of the land, embark on a journey towards a boat at the edge of the land to save themselves from the flood thats gonna break due to the meltdown of the ice bergs. A warm entertainer which will make you laugh enough. not the best among its genre but relly worth watching with the excited kids in the audi laughing and clapping at the edge of their seats.

V for Vendetta

oh yeah. watched the movie wit hesitant friends who weren willin to watch it and what do i get finally. all of em were in awe of de movie.

yeah so was i. A pretty good movie scripted by the makers of matrix. the entire 2.5 hrs of the movie was quite engagin except for the second half. the dialogues stood out and so did the the lead pair though he was masked through out.

the story of a rebel who had a gory past for which he seeks revenge the violent way, thou he targets the government.

DEFINITELY WORTH A WATCH! GO FOR IT!

CHAPTER 2 - a play by evam

okay. watched their very first show at rangasankara. awesome. the whole hall was in splits. they get better and better every play. its about four people two married, a divorcee and a widow. And wat follows is two hours of drama filled wit laughter and emotions. the cast was apt and karuna easily stole the show. thanks to evam for recreating the magic of the broadway classics for indian audiences who cant affort a ticket to manhattan or a time machine to the period when the play was actually running.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! GO WATCH IT!

BeiNg cYrUS

being cyrus is a breath of fresh air through the glamourous bollywood boulevard if you would consider it belonging to that genre. not a great entertainer but a passe movie in an attempt to present something new and fairly achieved it. i always look, to get a bit influenced by the characters in the movie i watch, on that front this flick was a let down, coz none of the characters leave behind an impression, neither did they have substance.

Give life a new definition that sounds impressive and that which would make you think ,believe in the thriller elements namely coincidence and revenge, picturise it in a interesting way thats offbeat and bang u get 'being cyrus'


WORTH A WATCH.

Brokeback mountain

i didn enjoy this movie much but for the very scenic locales with the amazingly decked up clouds, the guitar strings in the background and an oscar performance from heath ledger (michelle williams was very natural in the very few scenes she featured).A sad movie, rarely any other characters apart from the lead are seen onscreen. a very laid back movie whose hype created is not met

wud say: WATCH IT IF YOU WANT TO.

Memoirs of a Geisha

a geisha's memoir which isnt very interesting or appealing enough to sit and watch the entire playin hours of two and half hours. just a time pass movie. the beach shot in the last scene was breathtaking. and so is the lead geisha who looks stunning in certain frames!

that would be a critic's view on that movie, but i always see the better part of the otherwise dragging saga, for it offered some glossy eye candy!

CRASH

Crash, a great screenplay, a bold theme offering quite a lot of powerful moments.
how racisim prevails in the west is etched with the characters of crash. And the climax is the realisation happenning. amazing to see such a delicate issue potrayed and handled well enuff to not, give the viewers a sense of dissatisfaction! a brilliant and a realistic movie. A diector's movie.

TAXI NO 9211

Starting off a new blog page for movies, coz thats yet another pastime i'm crazy about. I watch umpteen number of movies al languages, al crap. rarely do i remember the story line of anything, so i thought i wud use dis page to pen down my movie experiences to get a clear picture as such how i enjoyed the movie, i usually 'm not a critic, and i appreciate any sincere work be it a vijay's movie or mister shankman's comedy fiesta.

though i have already seen a ton of movies, i will anyways start with taxi no 9211.

i watched this movie, since there was no power at my place early sunday mornin, jus went sat in my pyjamas and thoroughly enjoyed the movie,

It has a very engaging plot with great performance from nanaji. a story about two people who are at two extremes of the society , how they meet on a taxi ride, one thing leads to other and finally the climax is one intriguing entertainer, it has its own goofs,

but for a hindi movie it definitely is a must watch.

John was good too but wit his stereotype acting. Sonali kulkarni was apt for the role.The song meter down was good. A decent effort from milan luthria. The overall quality of the movie was refreshing and technically very impressive.
